Referrals: How to Access Our Services
We accept referrals from:
-
Schools & colleges
-
Health and social care professionals
-
Parents or carers (self-referral)
Our provision is suitable for learners with SEMH needs, SEND (with or without EHCPs), or those struggling in mainstream settings due to anxiety, trauma, school refusal, or life circumstances.
🧭 Referral Pathway
1. Initial Contact: Email us with a brief overview of the learner’s situation and reasons for referral. We’ll respond within two working days.
2. Referral Pack: If the learner appears to be a good fit, we’ll send a referral pack including:
-
Referral form
-
Key policies (e.g. safeguarding)
-
Letter of Assurance & AP Checklist
3. Review & Visit: Once we receive the completed forms, we’ll review them and, if appropriate, arrange a 45-minute visit to explore whether the setting feels right for everyone involved.
4. Assessment Block: A 12-hour assessment (spread over several sessions) allows us to understand the learner’s needs, set goals, and develop a tailored plan.
📘 Minimum Engagement
We recommend a minimum of 12 sessions, following the assessment block, to allow time for trust-building and meaningful progress. Sessions are learner-led and one-to-one to start, gradually expanding in structure and content.
🤝 Ongoing Collaboration
We believe in open, ongoing communication with:
-
Parents/carers
-
Referring schools or professionals
-
Multi-agency teams
We provide termly reports, regular updates, and are happy to attend review meetings.
🛡 Safeguarding
We are fully committed to safeguarding. Our provision aligns with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance and includes all relevant policies and assurances as standard.
